Transforming Lives

BACKGROUND:
I grew up in Salemburg, North Carolina and was saved at the age of twelve.  I was a member of Salemburg Baptist Church before leaving home to go to college at UNC Chapel Hill.  I first developed a love of music when a great aunt directed a musical and asked me to participate.  I continued musical training during middle and high school taking piano and voice lessons as well as playing trombone in the high school band.  More recently, I took classes at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in music theory and biblical studies.

God called me into the music ministry 25 years ago and I served as Minister of Music in the church where my father-in-law was pastor.  I am thankful to be a part of the ministry at Lighthouse Baptist Church and am excited to be a part of what God is doing here!

FAMILY:
I am sharing life's adventures with my wife of 26 years, Cathy. The Lord has blessed us with two children, Kellie and Jonathan.  Kellie is married to Stephen and they are both very active in their church.  They have given us two beautiful grand-daughters, Madelyn Grace and Ava Reese.  Our son Jonathan is attending Southeastern College.  Jonathan plays guitar for the Lighthouse Praise Band and we are proud to see him using his talents for the Lord's glory.
